I was speaking to a few happy customers recently. They were thrilled with the results we were achieving for them and mentioned they’d left a Google review on their page.
I checked our Firefly Digital Google my business, but noticed no change. Yep, still only 41 reviews there. How odd…
I reached out to our client and thanked them again, but mentioned there was no review on our page. They sent through a screenshot of the review, and there it was. Something wasn’t right…
Well after speaking with my client and doing some further research, we found that Google was not approving anymore Google reviews, or changes to listings with their reduced staff count.
If you are in a similar position and wondering where that allusive 5star review is hiding, Here is the official news on Google my business listing and pending reviews.
During the unprecedented COVID-19 situation, we are taking steps to protect the health of our team members and reduce the need for people to come into our offices. As a result, there may be some temporary limitations and delays in support as we prioritize critical services.
Our current focus is on the quality and reliability of information on Google Search and Maps. We want to ensure users and business owners have access to essential features like whether the business is open or has special hours. Learn about best practices for affected businesses, and what you can do to keep your customers informed.
After research, I have been told that the reviews will still be published but only delayed. So don’t worry if you have some 5 star reviews stuck in cyberspace.. They should come through in due course.
To your success and many positive reviews in the future.
